Ryan graduated from Bay City Western High School in 1994, earned a teaching degree from Central Michigan University 2000, and completed his Master's degree from Saginaw Valley State University in 2004. Ryan worked for Bay City Public Schools for over 25 years, teaching science grades 7-12 and coaching baseball, golf, and tennis. Ryan became a licensed Realtor in 2017 working at Berkshire Hathaway Homeservices and eXp Realty as part of the Mr. Lister Real Estate Team. Ryan earned his brokers license in 2023, with the hopes of starting his own brokerage. Soon after, Bay Realty Michigan was founded in December of 2023. Ryan enjoys spending "quality time" with the love of his life (and business partner) Lyndsey, hanging out with his son and enjoying all of his activities, relaxing at their waterfront home in Au Gres, and fishing walleye tournaments throughout the state.
